As proud members of the CBVFD, the members of the CFDA donate countless hours managing programs and organizing events that have come to represent the spirit and pride of Chatham Borough.
Chatham Fire Department Association
While the Chatham Borough Volunteer Fire Department (CBVFD) has proudly served Chatham for 124 years saving lives and property, the Chatham Fire Department Association (CFDA) has proudly served the Chatham community for over 40 + years conducting events beyond fire safety. These events are not supported by your tax dollars. Each year we reach out to Borough residents during our Annual Fund Drive in an effort to secure funding for some of Chatham’s most celebrated community events. As a purely volunteer organization, 100% of our funding is sourced from people like you.
Your donation will enable the Association to continue to provide the following community events:
- The Annual Fourth of July Celebration: The day’s festivities start with an all-American parade down Main Street and conclude with a concert and fireworks display at the Chatham Middle School.
- Mutual Benefit Program: A fund that provides financial assistance to the families of deceased volunteer Chatham Firefighters.
- Fire Prevention Program: Each year over 700 school children visit the Borough Firehouse to learn about fire safety and prevention, meet Borough Firefighters, and take home a small gift.
- Small Fry Fishing Derby: Kelley’s Pond is stocked with trout for youngsters throughout the Borough to come enjoy some fishing and free refreshments for all.
- The Santa Program: Provides families with the chance to take a family portrait with Santa, and take home a stocking filled with treats.
